Scope of Work

Security & Reporting

Our initial scope was to provide insight through reports of clear view of the current security state of the firm’s internal and external systems including their external sites. In these security style reports we document software, software versions, vulnerabilities, potential fixes, and more based on what clients needs are. We also do audits for financial institutions that want to provide clear cyber security reports to regulatory entities.

Having maintained software is crucial, as software systems change rapidly in our ever growing field of information technology. We perform regular updates to ensure all software is at the latest Long-term support (LTS) version to ensure updates are still being released for code repos affecting apps, servers, databases, 3rd party libraries, & etc. Having database and backend data collection systems up to date is crucial since those are one of the most important pieces of a software system and where user data gets stored.

Server Management & Infrastructure Setup

Managing multiple servers has gotten much easier with the help of VPS’s (virtual private servers) that can be replicated, created, and destroyed in a matter of minutes. For smaller systems we always recommend self-managed systems over entire server management to cut down costs and save on the long run. We use a slew of VPS providers, custom client in-house servers, and remote data facility managed servers to house cloud based systems.
